Rosemary Lynch, author of Kainan (Deragan Sword Prophecy)
If you were trapped on a desert island, and a magical talking stork could bring you one book (not yours) which would it be?
Wizard’s First Rule ~ Terry Goodkind
Which authors influenced/influence you most?
Enid Blyton, CS Lewis and Terry Goodkind.
What made you go indie?
Impatience and realism ~ The chances of finding an agent in the UK is very slim.
What’s your favourite part of indie publishing?
Seeing your story come to life and holding your book in your hands for the first time ~ it’s a magical moment
What’s your least favourite part?
Advertising! Not very good at the publicity side of it all, but learning new avenues every day.
Summarise your writing style (or books) in 100 words or less:
I write from the heart. I try and feel each of my characters, give them personalities. Imagine how they would react to certain situations. I like it fast-paced, action-packed and full of romance and energy. I am not one to write endlessly about their journeys unless something exciting happens along the way! I want the book to make you laugh, cry and feel emphathy, exhilarated and thrilled. That’s the kind of books I like to read.
If you were offered a book-deal would you take it?
If it was the right deal, yes.
Why should someone pick-up your book?
This is a quote from one of my readers which I think sums up the book magically:
“The author makes you really feel for the main character by befalling a huge amount of tragedy in the first few chapters and then weaves a tale of revenge, love and a journey into adulthood. There are twists and turns along the way and a neverending barrage of mythical creatures at every turn. It leaves you wanting to find out what will happen next to our hero and heroine.”
If you love magic, adventure, thrills, mystical creatures and romance this book is ideal for you!
What formats is it/are they available in and where?
