A little perspective: editing

One of the biggest complaints about indie publishing is the quality of the editing and I won’t argue against getting a professional to check your work, but sometimes a little perspective also goes a long way.  (Bear with me on this.)

We’ve all had a scam e-mail at some point right?  You’ve won a lottery you didn’t enter; a bank account you don’t own has been hacked; a stranger wants you to help them smuggle ‘millions’ for a cut of the profit… and the list goes on.

So, I wasn’t massively surprised when I received the email shown below.  What was more shocking was how little effort they apparently put into the scam.  Most of the errors could have been picked out by a simple spell-check!

There’s at least 8 errors here, how many can you spot?

About indie e-books

http://indieebooks.co.uk is aimed at providing a common platform for indie writers and publishers to show-case their work. The content is kept limited to one (free) short story per author to give the reader an idea of the writing style and talent involved and to help forward them on to more substantial work.
