Indie e-books is now open for short story submissions

How do you get readers interested in your new book?

Do you push for Amazon’s sales rankings? Advertise at several websites and blogs? Offer a short story or novella for free? How about using those short stories in a consistent way to publicise an independently published book?

Short stories published at Indie E-books will only be available online for a limited time of your choosing (1-6months).  This not only reduces the amount of information readers have to sift through but also increases your visibility.

We accept short stories from anyone who:

a) Is self-publishing,

b) Is publishing through an independent publisher,

c) Might be considered a ‘traditional’ author but is self-publishing a back catalogue (in which case all links must be to self-published work).

We ask only that you hold the rights to the short story. and will not ask you to sign these rights over.

What will be used?

1) An image.

This can be a book cover jacket if you want, or simply a picture of yourself.

2) Your short story and author bio.

There is an option for readers to leave reviews so you can get feedback on any stories submitted.  Once the story goes offline reviews will be made available in the Archive section unless you request otherwise.

3) A link to a website of your choosing.

For example, your author website. This will also remain listed once the story has been archived.

4) A link to your published book.

This can be up to 3 unique links of your choosing, hopefully to provide flexibility for the reader.

About indie e-books

http://indieebooks.co.uk is aimed at providing a common platform for indie writers and publishers to show-case their work. The content is kept limited to one (free) short story per author to give the reader an idea of the writing style and talent involved and to help forward them on to more substantial work.
